Caprolactam (2026 Program)

​​This report provides a comprehensive analysis of the caprolactam industry.  In addition to conventional caprolactam production from cyclohexane and phenol, this report also includes coverage of processes using non-conventional feedstocks. The analysis provides cost of production estimates for commercial and developing technologies for caprolactam production, within the USGC, Western Europe and China regions. Costs of generic Raschig and NO Reduction technologies are analyzed, along with Fibrant HPO process, AdvanSix Phenol process, Lummus/Versalis Ammoximation, HighChem vapour-phase Beckmann, Toray Photonitrosation, and two butadiene-based processes. A detailed overview of other processes such as Sinopec, Cyclopol, and sustainable processes is also given. A carbon intensity comparison and capacity overview are also included. ​
