Cyclic Olefin Copolymers (2011 Program)

The chemistry and production technology for cyclic olefin copolymers are reviewed. Costs of production have been estimated. Costs of production for competing polycarbonate and PMMA polymers have been developed for comparison. Mechanical properties, processability and performance, and how they compare to the materials they compete with are discussed.
