Developments in LAO Comonomer Technologies for Polyethylene (2012 Program)

Linear alpha olefin (LAO) comonomer technologies for polyethylene have been reviewed. Regional process economics for the production of full-range LAO and on-purpose butene-1, hexene-1, and octene-1 have been evaluated. Regional supply/demand for alpha olefins (butene-1, hexene-1, octene-1) is included.

Oxo Alcohols (2012 Program)

Commercial oxo alcohols production technologies (hydroformylation/hydrogenation) have been reviewed. Regional costs of production for n-butanol, 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH), 2-propylheptanol (2-PH), Isononanol (INA), have been evaluated. Global supply/demand for n-butanol, isobutanol, 2-EH, 2-PH, and INA are included.
