Bio-Routes to para-Xylene (2012 Program)

Renewable technologies for the production of para-xylene are described along with conventional routes.  Estimates of the cost of production for three bio-routes are compared to conventional cost of production for the USGC.  Regional costs are compared for bio para-xylene in Brazil, Western Europe and the U.S.  para-Xylene commercial applications and supply/demand analysis is given.
